Hendor PumpsHendor has expanded its sustainable product line with its MXH series of magnetic drive pumps that are calibrated for optimal flow and long service life, with the lowest carbon footprint in use.
Through smart technology, this third-generation pump series have high hydraulic efficiency, low energy consumption and up to 15 per cent more flow.
The innovation in this new series is reflected in the bearings with flushing channels, the full radial spiral design of the pump housing and pump impeller housing, and instream stabilisation in the heaviest variant electric motors for greater efficiency.
The MXH series also delivers a very low noise level—only 72 dBa—and the pump’s bearing design is rotation direction insensitive and the pump head can be rotated 45-degrees. In addition, each pump includes a three-piece +GF+ connection for a leak-free connection to piping.
When designing this series, Hendor focused on making its own production line more sustainable. Manufactured entirely in-house by technical experts, all pump parts are machined for optimal tolerances, fit and interchangeability. In doing so, the customer becomes greener directly from the moment of installation. The robustness of this new series ensures reliability, easy repairability and long service life, as well increased efficiency and energy savings that lowers the user’s carbon footprint.

As an easy way to measure relative humidity levels quickly, this uniquely compact Bacharach Sling Psychrometer accurately determines per cent relative humidity without the necessity of consulting complex tables. There is no need to wet the wick each time a reading is taken, and it contains a slide rule calculator which correlates wet and dry bulb thermometer indications for direct reading of relative humidity. When not in use, the thermometer case telescopes into the handle for protection.

The Sling Psychrometer consists of two thermometers that are turned by vigorously swinging the handle and exposing the thermometers to rapid air movement. These two thermometers are called dry bulb and wet bulb. The bulb of one thermometer is placed in direct contact with the room air to measure dry-bulb air temperature. The bulb of the other thermometer is covered with a silk or muslin sleeve that is kept moist to record the wet bulb temperature. Evaporation cools the wet bulb more than the dry bulb, and the humidity is obtained as a function of change in temperature.
