AkzoNobel Low Energy PowderAkzoNobel recently launched Interpon D1036 Low-E, an architectural powder coating that can be cured at temperatures as low as 150-degrees C—30-degrees C lower than traditional powder coatings. This allows companies to lower energy consumption by as much as 20 per cent and cure up to 25 per cent faster than conventional powder processes.

“At a time when every business is looking to play its part in reducing energy and accelerating sustainability, Interpon D1036 Low-W will support our customers in reducing carbon emissions, and it will help us in achieving our own target of a 50 per cent carbon reduction across the value chain by 2030,” says Jeff Jirak, director of the company’s powder coating business.

The new range is designed for architectural areas, inside and outside, from building facades and windows to railings and doors. Its key features include exceptional levels of durability to protect colour integrity and performance.
