PPG Sustainable PackagingDYRUP paint by PPG has introduced a new “bag-in-a-box” packaging for its Dyrup Wall Extra Covering paint, made from 75 per cent recyclable and biodegradable materials.

“As part of our emphasis on sustainability and product development, we are continuously working to improve our products and processes,” said Christian Ulrich, PPG product manager, Dyrup brand, Architectural Coatings. “With the launch of this new packaging, we have focused on making handling easier, more practical and environmentally conscious.”

The packaging is made from 100 per cent Forest Stewardship Council (FSC)-certified paper and cardboard, which ensures that the materials come from responsible forestry and forest conservation worldwide. With 81 per cent less plastic compared to conventional packaging, it also marks a significant step towards minimising plastic consumption for the Dyrup brand.

In addition to its sustainable properties, the Dyrup bag-in-box packaging is easy-to-use and minimises product dry-out. The ergonomic handling and the smart tapping function make the application of Dyrup Wall Extra Covering paint simple and hassle-free.

The bag-in-a-box concept has been recognised for its practicality, manageability and environmental benefits by ScanStar, a competition that has been held annually since 1969 by the Scandinavian Packaging Association, SPA.
