Gardner Company (GARDCO), in conjunction with Byk-Gardner USA – worldwide partners of the industrial, automotive, paint, and plastics industries for quality control of colour, appearance, and physical test equipment – announce the addition of Matthew Fajt as Business Line Manager for Physical Test Equipment effective January 4th, 2022.

Fajt will be providing the direction for the Physical Test line of equipment for the Paul N. Gardner Company and Byk-Gardner Company, with worldwide responsibilities. His expertise, strategy, and process improvements will help grow and strengthen the organization and create a long-lasting relationship with our clients and vendors.

Fajt comes to us with over 20 years of sales, management, and application experience in the coatings and inspection equipment industries. His background is with The Sherwin-Williams Paint Company, KTA-TATOR Inc, and Satterfield Painting Inc. He holds his NACE CIP II. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from St Vincent College in Latrobe, PA., and a Master of Business Administration from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA. He resides in Pittsburgh with his wife Jennifer and children David and Anastasia.

New Digital Solution Helps Customers Bring Colours to Life

AkzoNobel 3D colour visualization tool
AkzoNobel Powder Coatings has developed a new web application 3D colour visualization tool within its Interpon webshop to help customers better understand how a powder coating’s colour, texture and finish that look good in theory, will actually appear in reality. 

The tool provides instant access to thousands of colours in the Interpon range. Using a 360-degree dynamic camera and simulated lighting, the customer is given a true-to-life image of how the colour performs to a degree of accuracy and realism not possible before in a virtual environment.  

Rather than the image being ‘flat’, the customer can orientate the ‘virtual’ panel to see how the light reflects and the colour looks from different angles.
