Following the initial acquisition of Thomson Research Associates, Microban International now plans to harmonize the two organizations. It recently announced that it is bringing together its Microban and Ultra-Fresh brands and technologies under a single umbrella. By consolidating its services and combining over 100 years of collective industry experience, Microban International says it can better serve its partners worldwide.

A recent study found that biochar nanoparticles (BCN), or graphene oxide, derived from spruce wood and wheat straw, can improve corrosion resistance in zinc-rich epoxy coatings. The study, published in Progress in Organic Coatings, suggests a more sustainable option for the coatings industry.
