PCI 2023 Board of DirectorsThe Powder Coating Institute (PCI) recently announced its 2023 Board of Directors and Executive Officers. PCI values the support of its member companies and is very fortunate to have the leadership of the following individuals:
President: Shelley Verdun, business manager, powder coatings – Americas region, PPG
Vice-president: Tom Whalen, vice president sales & marketing, TCI Powder Coatings
Secretary/Treasurer: Bob Cregg, business director North America, Covestro Coating Resins, Inc.
Past President: Chris Merritt, vice president of Gema North America, Gema USA, Inc.

“I am looking forward to working with the 2023 PCI Board of Directors on our mission to promote and grow the powder coating market,” said Kevin Coursin, PCI executive director. “We are lucky to have three past board members who have been re-elected and one brand-new board member. Their guidance and planning for improving all the PCI programs and initiatives will be greatly appreciated.”

As the newly elected board member, Tabitha McLeish, global marketing director-powder, general industrial coatings, Sherwin-Williams Company, said, “I am very excited for the opportunity to share my passion about powder, help bring together powder coating industry professionals to exchange ideas and develop solutions, and contribute to PCI’s mission of communicating the sustainability, durability, and cost-efficiency benefits of powder coating technology to the industry.”

Continuing their commitment on the PCI Board of Directors for 2023, the following individuals provide support and service to benefit the powder coating industry on every level: David Flatten, president and CEO, Inland Powder Coating; Teddy Piepkow, Central US & Canada powder sales manager, Nordson Corporation; Marty Sawyer, CEO, Trimac Industrial Systems, LLC; John Sudges, sales manager, Midwest Finishing Systems, Inc.; Mike Withers, architectural segment leader, Axalta Coating Systems; and Mark Ziehm, senior technology manager, Henkel Corporation.

CFCM BYK9500 400BYK-Gardner USA announced its new premium line of dry film thickness gauges, the byko-test 9500 series, for measurements on ferrous (Fe) and nonferrous (NFe) substrates. The two new versions of the byko-test 9500 replaces the 8500 series. And both models in the series come with a detachable probe and a cable for different modes of operation.
