CFCM Interpon Futura 400AkzoNobel Powder Coatings has launched its Interpon Futura Collection for 2022-2025, revealing three brand new colour palettes – Merging Worlds, Healing Nature and Soft Abstraction – helping designers connect to the latest developments in the built environment.

The new collection results from rigorous testing and scientific research by AkzoNobel’s trend and colour specialists across multiple industries, particularly those involved in the building and construction sector. It is also the result of more than two decades of evolution. During this time, the collections have inspired innovative designs worldwide.

Launched with the promise to ‘Futura your world,’ the new range delivers a superdurable performance with a warranty of up to 25-years, enabling architectural creations to stand the test of time. With a building’s legacy determined by its ability to withstand its surroundings, the durability provided by Interpon powder coatings reflects the brand’s proven commitment to sustainability and the environment.

The collection uses no solvent emissions or volatile organic compounds as a powder coating. It supports AkzoNobel’s broader sustainability programme: People. Planet. Paint. This has seen the company commit to eliminating carbon emissions by 50 percent in the value chain and using 100 percent renewable energy by 2030. It looks to lead a revolution in sustainability. Interpon’s architectural range was also the first range of powder coatings to achieve an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD).

Bob Dirks, Global Segment Manager Architectural, AkzoNobel Powder Coatings, says the Interpon Futura Collection has been created with the future in mind: “Our new collection provides architects with world-class colours that enable them to bring their imagination to life. It also provides a sustainable choice in powder coatings that both protects buildings and lowers the environmental footprint compared to other coating solutions.”

“The range demonstrates Interpon’s commitment to delivering the highest quality colours, textures and finishes to enable architects to Futura their world and ours. That’s why we are constantly innovating, while collaborating with our Global Aesthetic Center to use deep insight and scientific research to predict future trends and ensure you’re always one step ahead.”

The Interpon Futura Collection is now available from stock to customers in Europe, Africa, the Middle East and will be launched in North America and Southeast Asia later this year.

The colour palettes in the collection are:

Merging Worlds: Deep, crimson reds and subtle browns, the Merging Worlds palette elevates authentic materials like brick and natural wood and metallic finishes.

Healing Nature: Greens and earthy tones, organic shapes and simple patterns. This trend has a renewed focus on reconnecting with the world, health and wellbeing.

Soft Abstraction: Neutral, soft tone colour shades and fine metallics bring vitality and health to open spaces. Driven by the power of contemplation, this trend lays the foundation to connect and recharge.
