CFCM MessageFromEditor2 400Alyssa Kerslake has taken over as Managing Editor of Canadian Finishing and Coatings Manufacturing magazine. She has a bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature from Brock University and was also in the Publishing program at Centennial College, from which she graduated with high honours.

Earlier this year, Alyssa joined Kerrwil Publishing, the parent company of Wilkinson Media, as an assistant editor. She has since been working on its publications for the electrical industry and also on Canadian Yachting. 

"One of my key goals with CFCM is to enhance its online presence," she says. "We've offered online information for a number of years, but I see opportunities with our bi-weekly digest, The Finish Line, as well as other online products we're developing.

"I'm also looking forward to meeting more people from the paint, coatings and plating industries, to learn how they're coping with a changing market, and what their plans are for the future."

Former Editor and current Senior Editor, Edward Mason, said: "I'm very happy to see someone with Alyssa's enthusiasm and her fresh approach take over the editorial direction of CFCM. I think we can look forward to some interesting changes in how the publication serves its readership in the various market sectors."

"We are hoping to reach Canadian finishers and coaters through a more integrated suite of print and digital media, building on the success of our print publication." Kerslake declares in her editor's message.  

"On the first and third Tuesdays of each month, expect the latest finishing and coatings news, expert analysis, and updates to appear in your inbox. If you miss an issue, digital digests will be archived on CFCM.ca.
